
Yesterday I was out of ideas and decided to visit the Melbourne Zoo again. As a member, I don’t pay entry, so I decided it was a cheap option. I spend about 2 1/2 hours walking around the animals and photographing. I went right after lunch, and the sun and heat made most predators – and some herbivores – retire until the sun cooled down.
It was often quite difficult, as most of the exhibits have glass in front. The circular polarized lens did help a lot in getting around this, but was not able to fully remove reflections from the photos. Some of the exhibits were also covered/underground – as with the wombat – and thus may have come out a bit shaky.
