Yesterday was a state holiday, Melbourne Cup. I was going to go to the zoo to have a bit of play with the camera and the animals, but the thought of going through the relentless traffic made me give up in going. Because I didn’t want to stay home, I decided to go to Newport Lake Reserve to take some photos.
Now, I took my prime 50mm lens, but I didn’t use it. I’ve been trying to photograph everything without needing to change lenses – which is not always obtainable. I replaced the 50mm with my macro 105mm. This was the result of the afternoon at Newport Lake Reserve.
