So we stayed up to watch the NYE fireworks. We watched from Surfer’s Paradise beach. There was a party going on, “lots” of people (not many at all, if compared to Rio), and a lot of good energy.

This was my second time trying to take photos of fireworks. The first time was in Vanuatu last year, for New Years also. In that occasion, we were in the hotel balcony looking at the fireworks in a more or less controlled environment. This time, we were on the beach, very close to a lot of people who constantly made it difficult to get a clear shot. Below are some of the photos of the fireworks.
