Even though every now and again I have been posting in my blog, I’m away on holidays and have no access to a computer that I can edit my photos on. This is why most of my posts during this period have photos that were taken in the second half of 2024.
Christmas and new year has been about family this year. I’m overseas visiting family and spending quality time with them. I had the opportunity to give my mom my favorite lens for DX format: Sigma (ultra) wide angle 10-20mm. I loved that lens when I used my D3300 (camera I started with) as it allows to capture a lot where there isn’t a lot of room to position for a photo.
Also, my mother gave me one of her old cameras. Initially she was going to give me her old Nikon N6006 (aka F-601), however, that did not happen. I ended up getting her N80, her last film camera. I was really excited about it and have already bought the batteries required and a roll of film (the only film type the store closest to her had). I did notice the door doesn’t shut properly, so I taped it shut once the film was in the camera. I will get the camera fixed once I’m back home (and have finished the current film).
I really can’t wait to start publishing my analog photos here as well. It will be a different experience photographing to film and getting the photos developed in a shop. I’m also looking forward to seeing the different results the different films produce. It looks like 2025 will be a great year (fingers crossed and hopping I haven’t already jinxed it).
