With six days until the Vernal Solstice, my garden continues to bloom. Yesterday I noticed that the (French) lavender has started blooming also. I can safely say it is the second flower to bloom recently.
My garden has a lot of flowers, but most of them were in bloom for at least a month now. They were seeds planted in June and July and slowly sprouted and bloomed in early August. I expected the lavender to bloom all year round, as it is a winter hardy flower, but by July there were no flowers on the bush.
So I leave with you a couple of photos my lavender. They were taken with my Sigma 105mm macro lens.
